But it helps the run game too because of that uh that run force multiplier with the read option in the play action boot game it actually is enough to tweak this to going from the second best run game to the third best run game either way it’s going to be a functional offense but with watson it’s going to be an explosive offense where you have a quarterback that’s elevating guys um like obviously uh people’s jones but david bell can play on time in this offense a little better even in anthony schwartz with a better vertical thrower whereas jacoby brissette it’s likeyup you’ve got the worst quarterback in the league great offense around him but um definitely not going to be uh some terrifying force with jacoby brissett so there’s your splits there moving on to the defensive side of the ball now you have uh on the defensive line the seventh ranked pass rush and the 24th ranked dline run defense so much better getting after the quarterback than defending the run here and a big part of that is a very squishy interior defensive line one of the worst in the league but on the edge you have a premium duo uh from run defense from a run defense perspective this is one of the best in the league and from a pass rush perspective it’s also one of the best in the league because you have miles garrett clowny is no joke but miles garrett to me is the best pass rusher in the league behind aaron donald but the best edge rusher in the league and it’s because he has the entire package he’s a absolute freaky specimen six foot five 270 pounds plus with length get off speed bend inside quickness the entire package with miles garrett teams are more terrified of miles garrett than any other edge rush in the league you’re seeing constant double teams chip help you spend your entire week game planning for how the hell you’re going to block miles garrett he’s not the only edge rusher that teams do that for but it is abundantly clear with him and even with that you still see the production there towards the top in the league in terms of pass rush production whether it’s sacks or or pressure numbers he’s a monster he speaks for himself and is a force multiplier for this defense because of the impact he has when he wins and the attention that he draws when teams are trying to neuter him so miles garrett there is the premium reason this is the seventh best pass rush in the league but you have some other pieces that can do enough with that force multiplying effect.
