Having said that, I have decided that I will focus on what I ‘like’ about the portraits instead of on the things I don’t necessarily care for and who knows, in time, maybe the whole of it will ‘grow on me’. I didn’t care for the background in the Obama portrait. I thoiught it was a good likeness of him but it looked like he was sitting in a flowering bush! Mrs O’bama’s portrait I liked even less. I thought the dress really expressed well her sense of style. But the face didn’t really look like her Jazz Music Player Disco Retro Vintage Shirt very much.

I think it would’ve been a more beautiful portrait if the artist had given her a small smile. I don’t care for all the leaves in the background of the president’s portrait, and I really think Michelle Obama is much more attractive than she appears to be in her Jazz Music Player Disco Retro Vintage Shirt. I loved the speeches both of them gave during the ceremony. It took me back to a time when there was a lightness and warmth and a sense of humor about things.

I miss that. I was thinking this morning that I wasn’t crazy about Michele’s portrait because it was too soft and flat and wishy-washy-completely unlike her!. This is a much better photograph than the Jazz Music Player Disco Retro Vintage Shirt I saw first; must have been the glare off the finish that flattened it. Still think a little more color would help, but I hope to see both the paintings themselves soon! When I first saw this pairing yesterday tears sprung to my eyes. Same reaction when BO and David Letterman sat down for Letterman’s Show.
