A l e t t e r t o s t e p h e n c u r r y good day mr curry as a Premium French Bulldog Waist Pack American Flag 4th Of July shirt young person I didn t have many dreams because I didn t understand the process what I mean is I didn t know why dreams were so important I was raised in redwood city ca we came to the california city of redwood city in 1975 I didn t have a good father figure and my mother did the best she could to raise me and my sister she raised us as students of the bible but without a good manly influence I fell prey to the other side of the law juvenile hall became my second home as I got out of juvenile hall one day I was walking down center street in redwood city and was approached by a very tall man he called out to me hey kid are you richard he asked yes I answered I heard about you that you been getting into trouble with the law I lowered my head in shame he looked at me and said richard come with me I want to show you something so I walked about half a block with him down center street to a small house next to my grade school washington elementary he walked me into the house and his sister michelle was sitting in the front of their television he walked me to the back of the house and I saw probably over a hundred basketball trophies I d never seen that many trophies before he looked at me and said you see if you put your energy to the right cause you can achieve great things I saw trophies of first place second place mvp state championship ncaa sweet 16 they were amazing he had his arm around me on my shoulder I turned to look at his hand on my shoulder and he had an nba championship ring on his hand I realized that I was in the house of an nba champion his name was charles cj johnson since then I ve been a golden state warriors fan and I will never ever change I ve been through what was considered the worst trade in nba history the robert parrish to the boston celtics for jo barry carroll trade I ve been through not a bad time the run tmc time then there was the time when p j carlismo was choked out by latrell sprewell I have gone with not through but with the we believe time but up until that point we are still looking at 45 years of losing all of sudden monte ellis is traded and I m like most of the fanbase trying to figure out what s going on then one draft night you get drafted by golden state and a lot of people said he s too small why draft him he can t bring the future to this franchise no matter what anyone said I still watched you because I felt he s trying to do something that is probably part of his childhood dream and that is to succeed in a childhood game steph you did it I ve watched bay area sports my whole life I became a 49er fan the first time I saw gene washington catch a pass over a defender and sprint to the end zone for a touchdown it got better for us here in 1981 when joe montana threw a division title winning touchdown to dwight clark for the win against a dallas cowboys franchise that never lost against the 49ers we went on to win the superbowl that year after that I started to believe that dreams are possible with hard work and dedication I ve wanted to cover sports locally here in the bay area because I grew up here I enjoy sports particularly basketball don t get me wrong I played football as a young man I played football all the way up to jc football I won mvp in the city league in san jose for one season but because I coached played I love basketball right now since 2 years ago I ve been covering bay area sports just not on the big stage I wrote 139 articles of bay area sports on my sports blog called allbayareasports com it ran for a year and a half but it was difficult because I had to fund it myself with the finances and the content it was hard to support this medium and still be a father a husband work and do something that you love but I m sure you re aware of being in that position since then I ve been able to migrate my blog to allbayareasports com radio show on fcc free radio com it s internet radio but I believe that all the great sports media shows have to start somewhere so here I am I m asking you to help me give my show the boost it needs I would absolutely love the opportunity to interview you for 30 minutes there is no question that no one has a more busy schedule than you even the president s schedule isn t as busy as yours but I will tell you if I was being supported by radio com sports or knbr I would have some type of compensation for your time but at the end of the day I m a husband and a father that loves bay area sports and loves to cover them if I had the opportunity to interview you it would no doubt pave the way to expand what we are doing here at allbayareasports com radio show on fccfreeradio com so if you would do me that honor sir I would love the opportunity to interview you thank you again for bringing greatness to the warrior fanbase the city of oakland and the bay area and I know I can speak for the dub nation when I say this we greatly appreciate you if you re willing to do the interview I can be reached at 408 677 0358 if you do the interview we will produce it on facebook live thank you mr curry for your time.
